However, a lawsuit filed by a lady for her kids against McDonalds caught my eye. When I read it, I said to myself, "And lawyers wonder why we have a bad reputation."
I don't wonder. Lawyers have a bad reputation because it is deserved.
This lawsuit was filed because the happy meals have toys in them and this causes kids to want them.
Parents just can't seem to tell their kids "no."

Moselle Car Accident - One Survivor

The car accident in Moselle, Mississippi the other day left one survivor, Janet Myrick. Unfortunately, five other people were killed in the wreck. The five people killed in the accident were Joanna Milam, Bruce Myrick, Tommy Myrick, Haley Sumrall, and Timothy Milam.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, Joanna Milam was driving and tried to pass a car and hit it. This caused the suburban she was driving to get out of control on Highway 11, just South of Moselle. She then hit a power pole. The Highway Patrol indicated that none of the victims were wearing a seat belt.

This was an awful tragedy. According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, Joanna Milam, Bruce Myrick, Tommy Myrick, Haley Sumrall, and Timothy Milam, all died in this wreck. The Highway Patrol stated that Joanna Milam was driving and tried to pass another car.
She hit the car she was passing and lost control. This caused her to lose control on Highway 11, just South of Moselle and hit a power pole. The police officer investigating the accident also indicated that no one was wearing their seat belts in Milam's car and they were all ejected.
My condolences to the family and friends of all involved. I have four kids and I would be completely devastated had this happened to me.

Gulfport Workers Comp Lawyer Lies
I was in Gulfport Worker's Comp Court the other day and a lawyer that I have known for over 18 years lied right to my face.
I shouldn't have been surprised. I've had so many lawyers lie to me.
However, this one was different. This lawyer was supposedly my friend.
I was really ticked off at this lawyer. I told him I was going to call him a liar if he stuck with his lie.
He told me he was going to stick with the lie. So, I called him a liar right in the Worker's Comp courtroom.
He told me then in a sarcastic tone, "green belt" (he was talking about my black belt in Judo and my Brazilian Jiu Jistu experience) trying to make fun of me.
I told him we could step outside the Workers Comp Courtroom and he didn't want to do that. I can tell you that if he had done that it would have been a mistake. I was so ticked off that I intended to break both his arms. Right at the both elbows where he wouldn't have practiced law for quite some time.
What disgusts me is you the public probably like this lawyer and think he is honest. You would know him if I posted his name. I won't because I don't want to get sued by him.
But I am truly disgusted. Another low blow for the legal profession. And lawyers wonder why most of us hate them.
